Election time

The LJ Elections are up! I've been studying the candidates. I didn't support any nominations because, bluntly, there were several that I felt were pretty much all alike, and I didn't want to throw support to anyone unless I was sure.

However, now the nominations are done and the real stuff starts. So I dug. Of the 20-something available, I picked out 8 that I think I can live with. Mostly, I picked them based on how serious they appeared to be. Clearly, most failed to make the cut.

I'm a logical person, so when I came down to multiple people, I did what I normally don't do. I made a table. Here it is. Four people are currently tied for my vote. I'd like to get that down to two. I evaluated them based on a 0-3 scale of how much I liked and agree with what they have to say.

0 - didn't answer
1 - not really
2 - sort of
3 - definitely

Fandom was a 0 or 1 option based entirely on the feeling that someone who is active in fandom better represents me than someone who is not. Coincidentally, only one person fell out of the front runners because of this. The table's below the cut, coped straight from Excel. (For the record, I hate Excel HTML.)

For people who don't want to read the above (lol, everyone), tango  , vichan  , jmaynard   & fuzzface00   are in the lead. No one has a perfect score (I'd be afraid if they did).

Does anyone have any thoughts? Do you think I misplaced someone's score info? We've got to the 29th! Discuss, flist!

ha, i voted jameth. i feel this won't please you but i need to stay true to my roots ^^

I thought about him, actually, but he didn't make the cut under the "serious" category (I only included people who got a 3 in the table), and I've seen him be awfully shirty and immature about user complained in news. But he's looking like the winner last time I checked, so... (shrug)

I think you underestimate legomymalfoy's experience. She donates hours of her time every week not only to LJ Support but to the Abuse Prevention Team as well which puts here in a good place to understand the Terms of Service as well as be very familiar with what user's don't like in terms of policy change and that sort of thing.

Thank you for the info! ^_^ I've updated it (well, I will have in about five minutes), and this definitely puts her up there. I'm still undecided, and researching!
