Digital Eclipse

Family-like updates and a conundrum. See, my nephew (pause for moment of shock) is due December 22, and apparently the Mommy is starting to panic because "omgwedon'thaveaname!!!!" Personally, I don't think this is a panic-worthy cause, but what do I know? I'm not the one expecting.

It's a boy (or at least, that's what the ultrasound says, but if it turns out to be a girl I will lmao because they refuse to make contingency "whoops wrong sexed name" plans). There's been a gentleman's agreement that we don't do Jrs in our family (middle names, however, are frequently done), and they want something "unusual". Naturally, the moment anyone says "unusual" they look at me.;;

FLIST! Your task, should you accept it, is to come up with awesome names for my future minion nephew! Leave no stone unturned, not even the "normal" names, because seriously, some normal names are awesome enough to be worthy of merit, or simply sound nice when strung together. I've even been okay'd for fandom names, which tells me that they're desperate. Mommy dearest is nervous about the being-pregnant thing, so I recommended avoiding ones like "tumor", even though my cousins were totally called that up until birth. She was amused by "Hellspawn" however.

Names that have been used in my family within living generations: Edward (my father), Steven (my brother damnit), Hector (grandpa), Bob/Robert (uncle & cousin), Edgar (grandpa), Charles (uncle), Jim (uncle), Mark (uncle), Michael/Mike (uncle), Wayne (grandpa), Christian (nephew and big brother to be).

In retrospect, my family clearly sucks at names. No wonder they asked me for help.

Names I have already suggested (some seriously): Anthony, Skywalker, Laurence, Temeraire, Sora, Riku, Misha, Luke, Aiden, Xavier, Minion, Hellspawn, Daniel, Gramis, Samuel, Dean, Atheist/Agnostic/Buddhist/Muslim/Wiccan/AnythingNotChristian (see nephew), All XIII Organization Members (including Larxene), Mamoru, Darien, Clex, Charlee (shhhh), Castiel, Yed, Azazel, Brian, Bob Agent Of Hydra.

I admit, of all the possibilities, Anthony is my favorite. Not just for the reference (seriously, a Steven fathering an Anthony will break my brain—especially if the middle name ends up being homage to my Dad, Edward) but because I think it sounds very nice when combined with my last name.
