Speaking of writing, some got done last night! (waves a flag) 500 words of fic, after the massive failure of starting and trashing three different versions of various writing meta, totaling ~1500. Currently everything up to #12 (canon affects on characterization) is rough-draft written, so posts go on, but I may take a break from actually writing it for a while. I may post a poll asking for thoughts on what people would like to see. IDK, that kind of assumes people actually specifically want to see me babble about things! Or maybe I'll branch off and do mini-posts or writing exercises/workshop dealies for a while, just for the fun of it.

My brain clearly needs a break. Or maybe I'm coming down with a cold. :\ I have been stuffed up for a while now, but lately I haven't been able to sleep because of it. And this morning, I felt sort of raw, and still feel all noodle-limbed. And it was chilly this morning! 69 degrees! Shut up I think 69 degrees is chilly, alright? Need to talk to In-House Cousin about taking over Papa duties. I just cannot risk him catching a cold. Hopefully, she'll be okay with all it entails. IDK what I'll do if she refuses to empty his urinal and the like.

Finally... What should I do for Halloween? I haven't even considered it yet, but damned if I don't want to do something to celebrate the year. Last year I did a week of posting, but this year I'm just too tired, and too busy dealing with other commitments to do anything elaborate. So, anyone have any thoughts to share?

WinCon has a prom, so I will in theory be going as a Prom-version of Delirium from Sandman. Other than that, I don't have enough social life. *sigh* Last year was Cap. Year before that was... Um. Generic Gothic Thingy. I slipped a lot of years, truth be told. The only decent one before Generic Gothic Thing was in 04 when I painted myself green and wore a duct tape bra with a miniskirt.

I am going as poison ivy this year. Like, "thinks she's sort of goth but not really" Poison Ivy, with green miniskirt, long sleeve top in matching color, boots, lots of faux ivy, and a potted plant with a name tag reading "Hello, My Name Is Ivan." (See: Chris Dee's delightful CatTales for the reference...) I'm matching a friend who is going as Catwoman. And Lint and Loopy are Ms. Marvel and the Scarlet Witch. If there is no party, we will MAKE ONE, lol.
