D: Oh Kingdom Hearts. It has come to this.

I love my LJ layout. Love. Beyond all sanity. I've put a lot of hours into it. It uses 15 different images (many of which are on their third version). I have coding that only ever affects me (I love my stupid tag, which can only be seen when viewing my LJ in my style, BUT I CARE NOT). It's been my layout for years, and every time I turn around I tweak it a bit more.

But it doesn't fit me any more. :( I have moved on from Kingdom Hearts. I have no plot ideas for fic. I have no urge to draw. I even have no urge to play the latest game. Sad times. :(

So I think I'm going to re-do my LJ layout. (If I can manage it, DW will be set to match, but after I work with LJ. It'll be easier that way.) Below the cut is the first rendition of my new header. It's kind of big—I would like it wider, and not quite so tall. Also, the transition at the bottom is messymessymessy and the text is still up in the air. :\ I need to work on that. BAH. This would be so much easier if I could find a version of that image without the text. I would like to have Beast in the bottom-right background, and I think Wasp (YellowJacket? WHO IS THAT?) will be in the title-bar area. Also, something with Cap's shield. Hmmm... ANYWAY.



So I suppose this is goodbye, Quixotic Layout. I will miss you! (tear) I will console myself with writing femslash, and making myself sim-sick on Portal.

:D They are a gender-bent villain-based variation on the Avengers. (A villain was messing with someone's mind; all of the pictured have her features pretty much.) From left to right: Clint Barton (Hawkeye), Thor Odinson (aka Donald Blake), Tony Stark (Iron Man), Steve Rogers (Captain America) & Vision. Here's (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y84/tsukinofaerii/IMHYP005.jpg) the whole cover, which also shows (I think) Giant Man (Hank Pym), Beast and Unknown Tiny Person Who May Be Wasp (Janet Van Dyne).

That explains things a big. I was pretty sure the front one was supposed to be Iron Man and then Captain America, but yes, they're all gals, so I didn't know if they were side-kick wanna-bes or something. ;)

Well, there has been Rescue (which is Pepper Potts in her own set of armor), and Natasha Stark (who is an official AU version of Tony; apparently if he'd been a girl, she would have married Steve). For Cap, there was American Dream, who was the granddaughter of one of his Love Interests. (It's complicated.)

I'm pretty sure Marvel just does this sort of thing to tease us.
