Weeks Status: Pretty painful, ackshully.

Ow. OW. I'd rub my sore spot, but then I would be rubbing everything, and that's NSFW.
This weekend was... um, full, to say the least. I got all but one bit of my shopping done. Aunt Mary's gift is being ellusive. *sigh* That was pretty much all of Saturday. Saturday night was wrapping it all up. Sunday was made of ouchies. Here's the backstory:
We have horses. Said horses usually stay in our own pasture, but our gates were coming very close to breaking. So, while we set about repairing them, a neighbor was kind enough to pasture them for a while. Devon (a cousin) and I transferred them over. That was a few weeks ago. Yesterday (Sunday) the gates were fixed! So it was time to bring our babies home, right? Well, Devon didn't come out yesterday and neither Mary nor Papa are in any condition to handle horses, so it fell to me. Diamond and Lady were dolls. Diamond was happy to be back in his home pasture, and Lady seemed to think that I needed grooming, but they were good. Tempy was the problem. She's "only a pony", but what that translates to is that she "only out-weighs me by 700 pounds". And she's smart enough to know that she has the advantage.
Normally she's not that big of a problem. I'm good with horses, and Tempy tends to keep to mischief rather than real trouble-making. Yesterday was not a normal day. I managed to get her about half-way when she went for it, biting, kicking and rearing. I went down, and it's really only fast reflexes that saved me from becoming so many squishy red stains on the ground. I didn't feel it yesterday—I guess rounding Tempy up and getting her into the pasture kept me from getting stiff at the time. This morning? I hurt. D:
However, this makes my household 3 for 3 this week in "embarrassing falls". Papa into the water trough, Mary into the car, and me into the muck. (sweatdrop) We are evolution in progress.
In less owie news, I finished the last bit of my third prompt! \o/ I sort of want to run them through someone else's looking glass before I send them on. They're shorties, so it's not really needed, but I'd sort of like someone else's opinion on whether or not I managed the prompts. (waffles)
With luck (that is, the servers don't explode) I want to finish editing the NaNo this week. And then I need to find a beta for that. Ouch. @.@
ETA: A ramble. I had something weird happen while I was shopping at the mall on Saturday. I wore my Kingdom Hearts II shirt, right? Because I luffs it and it's comfy. I was stopped seven times by guys complimenting my shirt. This wasn't even in places like GameStop, which I could have understood. It was places like Dillard's, wha? Okay, I know they were probably hitting on me, but... why? I wasn't dressed up (seriously, my hair was disgusting and thus braided, and jeans + sneakers are not anything special), and I'm usually not hit on that often. Are female gamers that thin on the ground? Because by the time number four happened, I was starting to get mildly confused.

Date: 2009-12-08 05:01 pm (UTC)I do! The question is, does GDocs love me today? I will send you the porn, since it's Ults, which is thin on the ground sometimes. :D (Do I have your e-mail? It hides from me! ;-; )
YES. That was actually what happened with Tempy; when she was a tiny foal, my cousins played chase with her and let her rear up. (facepalm) We have a five pound Shih Tzu and I always have to remind people that no, it's not cute when she growls and nips at you. Would you take it from a Doberman? Meanwhile, some of the sweetest animals happen to be giants.

Date: 2009-12-08 05:06 pm (UTC)I believe I have your email, I will email you and then you wil have my email. It's like a system.
Oh man, not good. It's kind of sweet when a giant dog crawls into your lap because he doesn't realise he's not a tiny puppy anymore. The same does not apply to biting.

Date: 2009-12-08 05:18 pm (UTC)It's a respect issue is so many ways. A dog that respects you as the pack leader will not feel the need to be aggressive/defensive, or to put you in your place. And no matter how many times I explain I get, "But she's so cute!" No. No, no a thousand times no. (headdesk) I love my family, but they drive me insane. /old rant is old
