tsukinofaerii: Can't Think Without Coffee (Coffee)
[personal profile] tsukinofaerii
Happy Tuesday!

I will be doing a Pet Post as soon as I get my grubbies on pictures of said pets. I have 8 out of 9 dogs, but one of them is being elusive. Huffle. I'll get a photo of him yet! (determined face)

In the meantime, whining about Tony. (eyes him) Why is he not cooperating? This is supposed to be a simple, three-scene fic! Now we're half way through scene four and I have no idea what he thinks he's doing. He was supposed to be having smutty, dragon-enhanced sex by now! Instead he's thinking of finding a stand-in? No. No no no. What gives, Tony-cakes? You like S'teve. You like him lots and lots. Is this about that Ista thing I'm refusing to write? Nuh-uh, we're skipping the boring parts, I told you that. But— oh no, that's R'hody's spot. And that would be another fic all it's own. Can't you be satisfied with what I'm giving you?

Of course you can't. *sigh*

DEAR TONY: PLOT GOES THIS WAY.

*sigh* 10k and counting... (mutter)

Adopt one today!

I know, right?

I'm like 6k in my Steve/Tony first times - for a bloody prompt?!

I'm done. LOL. I'm just...knitting now.

Tonys are stubborn creatures. Even naked Steve cannot entice them when they've dug their heels in. D:

Knitting might help. At the very least, it gives the brain leeway to roam while the hands do the work. Or so I've been told.

I really do love that icon. ♥ Steve back! Yum.

T'ony! You need to be more cooperative! I've started rereading The Dragonriders of Pern because of you!

I hate it when characters stop being cooperative.

Hee! This one is actually the gold rider Tony. (I have multiple and can't shake the feeling that this should worry me.) I wish I knew why he's being grumpy and uncooperative. I'm tempted to go through his dragon. She is very much interested in moving things right along.

Oh yes, take the dragon's POV, she knows what to do during a mating flight ;)

I am a willing ear for the bouncing of ideas. I beta for you, if you'd like... Not that I'm eager for Pern!Tony at all... *shifty eyes*

She also reeeeeeeally likes Steve's dragon. I'm still trying to figure out how the OTP happened.

XD Thank you for the offer. I shall keep it in mind. ♥ (My usual beta reader is a DC girl. :o Must convert. Must convert.)

Dragon instincts, of course ;)

Well, they do say that dragons are reflections of their riders... (whistles innocently)

Even when the rider is too dense to realize something about himself *winks*

I remember getting like 16 Pern books, because I had started with Menollie's (sp?) books and didn't know there was more. Then I looked it up on the internet and ordered like a bazillion from the library and just went through them. After that, I was less then eager to get more, burn out I guess. Are any of the new ones good?

I think I liked the covers best (lol artist) they were often very pretty. Which were your favourite covers?

From: [identity profile] tsukinofaerii.livejournal.com
The Harper Hall trilogy! I loved those. (I still think Menolly should have been Masterharper though *huffhuff*) My mom and grandmother indoctrinated me young, but there's worse books to grow up with. I tried reading the new ones, but it's really just not the same. My mom likes them though, so I suspect it could be nostalgia coloring my opinion. :\

I love the old covers, where the dragons have the right sort of eyes and aren't too "frilly". They seem to be going back to that now, but not very well. Moreta (http://www.draconic.com/images/whelan/moreta.jpg) is probably my favorite cover, even though I'll never read it again. (Way to scar a kid, Anne!)

I'm cruel and must laugh at the thought of Tony cooperating and doing things the easy way ever. And I'm not sure that he even knows the meaning of the word "simple". (Though I really would have thought that the sex would have made him fall in line...)

Also, have you seen this [livejournal.com profile] chamberofchills? It seems like the sort of place where one might post the vampire fic she may or may not write, yes? *whistles innocently*

From: [identity profile] tsukinofaerii.livejournal.com
You're right. Usually, Tony is not hard to trip into someone's bed. D: I think I'm just going to have to reverse things. First sex, then make him ready for it. D: IDK, he obviously has some Issues I wasn't expecting.

Ah, but that's a gift exchange. What if I don't get a vampire fic to write, hm? :o It's probably just safer all the way around if I just write it. (glares at muses) A short it. Hint. Hint. Hopefully not too AU. (Though Steve as an old-school ancient SOB who refuses to be an SOB amuses me. Ah, damnit. ._. IHU muses.)

Date: 2009-09-09 08:36 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] sherriaisling.livejournal.com
Tony has more issues than expected? Wow, witness me being not shocked.

*facepalm* How'd I miss the exchange part? But, yes. Far, far safer if you just wrote it regardless. Because Vampires! *pets your muses* (Oh, how fun would that be? Because Steve really would be just so bad at being the old-school ancient SOB that everyone expected him to be.)

From: [identity profile] tsukinofaerii.livejournal.com
This is one I probably should have expected too. (facepalm) He doesn't want to drive S'teve away. Never mind that that the man has shown no objections to the generally acknowledged fact that his dragon will fly Tony's.

Now I am torn between two, possibly three stories. D: One: SSS is actually based off of vampirism, which makes Steve a sort of Vampire. Two: Someone's woman scorned (possibly Steve's) turns out to have a PN Elrod sort of vampirism and goes after the Avengers in an amusing and nearly completely ineffective way. Three: Old School Classic Vampirism, including dark castle and possibly ladies in underwire nightgowns. Only that last one is short, and it will probably be cheesy as hell.;;

Date: 2009-09-12 03:15 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] sherriaisling.livejournal.com
Yeah, probably. Though since Tony has basically made a life out of trying to make people forget his issues, it's only natural that he was able to get you to underestimate them. But Tony's mind ignores silly logic when it comes to people being nice to him.

Hmmmm. Well, all of them sound interesting, but I think I cast my vote for the second, if only because I grin at someone going after the Avengers "in an amusing and nearly completely ineffective way". (For whatever reason, my stupid brain is imagining the third one having a twist ending in which all the massive cheese ends up being Peter's dream/nightmare and he spends the rest of the day unable to look Steve/Tony/whoever else is involved in the eye without cracking the heck up.)

From: [identity profile] tsukinofaerii.livejournal.com
It didn't help that this Tony has Marroth to help with his issues, so he has significantly fewer of them. (pets him) He just underestimated S'teve and the dragons, I think.

lol That is the one with something vaguely resembling plot. :D (.... THAT WOULD BE AWESOME. Why didn't I think of that?!)

Date: 2009-09-14 11:56 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] sherriaisling.livejournal.com
Yeah, alright. I can see how Marroth’s presence might have thrown you off in your estimation of how great Tony’s (I don’t remember where the apostrophe went) were. *nods* Tony always underestimates how much other people/beings love him.

Hee! Yes, I suppose having a plot might help. Well, unless you felt like just writing sex, that is. (Wouldn’t it? And this formula could work with so many different scenarios to. Because you were busy thinking up other awesome stuff?)

Date: 2009-09-15 01:03 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tsukinofaerii.livejournal.com
Luckily, Marroth worked it all out in the end. And S'teve. S'teve proved significantly awesome, and also sort of surprised me in one regard. (In this case, Tony doesn't actually get an apostrophe because he rides a gold dragon. Back in the early days, the dragons would shorten the riders names for convenience while flying, but gold riders' names were never shortened in order to show respect. Now'a'days, the shortening is considered an honorific and no one really knows why.)

Having plot does help, except just now when I get to one part and realize that it has a significant gap between "now" and "dramatic climax" that needs filling. (facepalm) I'll figure something out. I hope. I think it's just the multiple PoVs that are eating me.... (It does! Almost anything that results in Peter having serious issues of denial would make for Win. I would like to think so, but I was probably distracted by chores porn.)

From: [identity profile] sherriaisling.livejournal.com
Yay for Marroth and S'teve! (*nods* I see. Pern!knowledge = interesting.)

Hee! But how fun would writing be if it just came easy? (Yes it would! And tormenting Peter in such a way is just so much fun! And chores porn isn't something awesome?)

Date: 2009-09-17 03:09 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tsukinofaerii.livejournal.com
They're truly excellent at taking care of Tony, when Tony lets them. (Pern!knowledge = pure geekery. Yesterday, I got to look up whether or not Pern has cotton! [They do a luxury fabric.])

Believe it or not, IM:Armor Wars gave me plot ideas! :o Go figs. (Tormenting Peter is awesome. Debatably awesome. I can't enjoy my own porn. It squicks me. o.O
