tsukinofaeriiThe order of business today: Save fics to PDF for reading offline. I've actually been saving a lot more than I've read, but that would be the whole "uuuuuuuurrrrrghhh" factor at play. I have an interesting problem. I'm bone-crushingly tired, but I can't settle down. I'm fidgety. Weird.
Yesterday went... not so good. There is the WinCon thing (if you are someone I expect to see at WinCon, you can see the post; if you can't see it and think you should, comment plz), but what came before that is the real kicker.
My department at work is being merged into IT. Long story short, I've always sort of gotten the feeling that IT as a group hates our guts and would be happy to see us gone. It's pretty much mutual, since the only thing we've ever gotten from them is trouble. Luckily, we get to keep our own budget and sort-of-identity, but there's still a lot of shuffling about to happen. Worse, the man who is now in charge has a serious hate-on for my mini-department in particular. D: So we'll have to see how that goes. It could be bad. The only good thing is that theoretically, I might end up with a pay raise sometime in the next three years. Yes, I facepalmed too.
*sigh* I'm just going to spend the weekend curled up in a little bundle of bleeding misery I think. Maybe I'll write a Pern!Tony drabble to cheer up. He wants to fly.
