Inanity: a good word for this #?*!

Mrphble. Sleepy. I passed out around ten thirty last night. D: And this weekend I won't be able to sleep in. I have to (somehow) install rails in Papa's bathroom, and make a spirited effort to convince Mary to move her hoard from the living room. On top of my usual cleaning/laundry/shopping routine. Sleep is expendable. Oh, and did I mention that my country's politics are becoming cartoonish in their inanity? (WARNING: I do not advice clicking any of those links for longer than it takes to recognize the topic and back out. Seriously. It hurts.) I feel this gif is appropriate:

WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN IN MY STATES, MY COUNTRY AND MY PLANET?! This is not even touching on what's going on in France or the mostly ignored floods in Pakistan. (The article on France uses offensive terminology.)

In more cheerful news, we've almost got Papa home. I also managed to finish watching Iron Man: Armored Adventures. I feel betrayed by Jean, that's all I have to say there. D: Today's meta post will be posted later (for the three of you who care lol). I decided to skip the post Narration, since it's pretty much covered in Pov/Perspective/Tenses, so now I need to trick myself into writing something on style this weekend. Argh.

Classes start Monday. D: D: D: Hide me from the students and faculty! No, really. I've been swamped by calls from 1) students who want to access their class before the semester starts and 2) teachers who want to give their students assignments that are due on the firs day of class. How about no? It doesn't work that way in traditional classes, it's not going to fly online.
