Dec. 15th, 2008 12:51 pmI'm taking a break from writing at the moment. (Id est, goofing off.) I'd forgotten how word count counts! D: Or maybe it's just that the style of this one that's eating me alive. :o Only 4/5 of the way done with the rough, and I think the elephant in the room is staring at me. (Is it pink? Is it blue? Is it elephant-colored? I can't help but wonder these things.)
My gift shopping is done for the year. \o/ Well, except for my dad and brother, but their gifts are getting bought post-Christmas, because that will be when my Mom actually comes down to visit and it will save on shipping. (They're doing the same for me, so I don't feel horrible.)
I bought two different RL-people the same gift this year. :o Buffy Season 1. (only 12 episodes, it felt so much larger when I saw it on the WB!) I couldn't resist spreading the geek'ry, and it was a good deal. <3 I'm such a child of the 90s. I used to adore that show, but I never got into fandom. I wonder why. No clue if either of the recipients are into it, but it's a good show, so at the very least they can get into it. And odds are, they don't already have it.
I think I actually managed a somewhat decent list of gifts-bought this year. That makes me feel odd. :x Usually I'm 1) not done shopping yet and 2) desperately still trying to figure out what to give people. This year I should get paid on the 19th and actually be able to use it for (gasp!) bills!
I just realized I want to abuse more Latin phrases. Melita, domi adsum! D: /random
In other news, I always laugh when I see the headline that a church official was offended by Madonna's lewdness. It seems like complaining that nighttime is too dark and water is wet to me. Yes, I think this is a sign that my head is finally unscrewing. I can't even manage a single on-topic post.
Of course, it might help if I knew my topic...
