Nope, can't combine 'em. Besides, I have an old plot idea that I suddenly really want to write, so I'm probably going to go with that. My NaNoWriMo is pure stupidity, but I want to do really well on the assignment.
But as for guidelines... It just has to be original. No fanfiction or anything (though my friend asked if she could do that and I quipped, "Dearie, whilst this may be creative writing class, the idea is to be original." So, really, it's my fault. XD).
