I'm thinking of ways he keeps himself from getting hurt. Tony is very, very good at numbing himself and keeping people from getting close to him most of the time, except when he fails utterly and then they usually end up trying to kill him. ._.; Alcohol was one way. I think casual sex might be in there, but that one's sort of a two-edged sword since Tony doesn't do casual sex as easily as he thinks he does. The whole "millionaire playboy" persona is part of that...
