I'm still in shock that anyone cares about my journal. Well, besides the two mass-posters I call friends. (pokes them) The main reason I even post my stuff here is because my FF.N account is an unforgiving mistress, and I'm mostly too lazy to edit out the sex for anyone but my mother. It has to go somewhere, I guess. For archiving purposes, at least. (Which reminds me of all the old-fic I have yet to post here for archiving... I shudder in humiliation that I was ever that bad.) And I seriously doubt you knew me in high school, or you'd recognize me very quickly. I had a tiny high school. But LJ is good for meeting new people.
Back on track, because I have to go register to vote today and don't have time to ramble at the moment. (Tuition purposes... ick. Though voting is good, in general.) Well, if you're offering yourself up as a potential beta, you may as well lay down your guidelines first off. You said you like my work (which still is something of a boggle), so obviously we have some similarities there. Is there anything that squicks you into non-reading? I'm something of a no-holds-barred author. (no shame) What about series you will/won't do? Usual time-frame? I don't mind it taking a while sometimes, but I usually draw the line when it starts being referenced in months. I'm sure you know that I do a lot of itty-bitty one-shots and drabbles (mostly for contests, but also because I can't get a thought out of my head). On the ones with a due date (contests) I would love help, but I won't throw a fit if you say "life sucks, I can't get it back to you in time" as long as you don't mind saying it!
I admit, I'm terrible about accepting both praise and concrit. I try, I really do, but I have issues. I'm also not a steady writer when left to my own devices. (Any abilities you may have in the cattle-prod area of life would be much appreciated.) My sense of humor leans to the outrageous, and I cuddle frequently. If you think you can not explode the thousandth time I cry "but the lemon is too purple!" and you have no idea what I mean, we may have hope.
I don't have anything ready to be butchered beta'd yet, but I'm sure it's coming if you'd like me to send it to you for a trial run. I think I can feel the post-monster block breaking. My online name is Moon Faery or tsukinofaerii (depending on whether Moon Faery was taken at time of signing up or not), but people without keyboards call me Crystal. If you AIM, I'm tsukinofaerii and on just about every night after 11. Please don't be shy. I hardly ever do inappropriate things before I've known someone a month.
