tsukinofaeriiI haven't posted in a while, so I figure that it might be time to do that. Hello, internet! I am well. Munching on cheese and crackers, at the moment. They're very nom. I was wary about flax seed crackers originally, and I didn't like the smell, but they've grown on me.
Here's a tiny PSA from your friendly neighborhood Fareii: Keep up on the WikiLeaks news.1 (That goes to the IP address, since certain agencies have put considerable effort into blocking the DNS.) Whether you agree with what they do or think that they're dangerous, read the documents. Please. There is a very real chance that the people operating the site may have "accidents", and don't you think that if your government (any government, not just the USA) arranges an assassination, you have a right to know why?
And if you do believe in them, give them some support? Please? Things are starting to look nasty, with the founder in police custody (which might actually be safer!) and a whole lot of businesses looking to brown-nose by locking their doors. Download the insurance policy2 if you can. I'm not going to wax poetic about details, because I know I'm either singing to the choir or screaming at the pews, but awareness is never a bad thing no matter where you land on the issue.3

I have decorated my office for the holidays! In deference to the fact that people have allergies, I used a fake wreath, and I have a candy dish that is shaped like a tree. I may dig out jingly bells to hang somewhere next. I wanted a wreath in my holiday colors (silver, light blue and lavender) but alas. :( Red and gold will have to do.
The FST is technically done. I went with It's Not My Time, because that means I can save Live For Today for another FST. This, I think is Win for all involved. I may post it later today or possibly tomorrow.
NEWSFLASH: IT Sucks Vomit-Flavored Jellybeans. IT has broken our mail system, but keeps sending people who cannot login to my number. WOE.
Family stuff continues apace. Papa is walking and complaining, but at least he is walking. IDK what is going on with the Dragon. :\ Everyone keeps asking why I'm not going to my parents' house for the holidays and I'm like... Hello, not speaking to Dad? Does no one listen when I talk at home, or am I only useful for my skills with a mop?
Fic Exchange Fic of Shiny Fluff is rolling along. I only wrote 1k yesterday. (I got seriously distracted by the Proposition 8 trial.) It is looking to be smaller than I expected—15k in and only four/five scenes left, so around 20-25k planned. Steve managed to replace the need for 6k words with a 600 word moment of revelation and plot-jumping. It is good, in a way, because it seriously tightens things, and it's not as if the information Steve seized on is a surprise to the reader (or at least, I really hope it isn't). Thor seems to be the source of all my favorite quotes so far. Gratuitous Example:
