Well! Here we go again. Oh LJ, do you never learn?
We'll start from the top with an example. Try to search for the interest "spice girls". I'll give you a few moments.

Surprised? Would it also surprise you that the term "spic" receives the same results? Also kiddie porn, kkk, prussian blue... And a lot of others.
For those of you who have no bloody clue what I'm talking about, because why would you do a interest search when you know I'm just going to tell you anyways, LiveJournal has clusterfucked again. If you do an interest search for any of the words I mentioned, you get this error message.

So far there's a lot of words blocks, some by obvious association. (Spice girls and spic, for example.) I've submitted a support request. Within 15 minutes it was made private. My request is as follows:

ETA 1: Whoops! Take "asexual pride" out of that list. It was one of my test terms. It's searchable. ^^;

ETA 2: I don't know if this is connected, but usually it's possible to give out a link to a support request with the "&auth=****" addendum that would allow other people to view the request, including yourself if you happen to be logged out.
Mine doesn't work. :/ If I log out or log in as another user and click the link I was given through e-mail, I receive the error message:
You don't have the necessary privilege to view this request.
Is this happening for other private requests, or is it just for ones with this topic? If anyone has support requests out and would test this for me, I'd be grateful. What's the point in supplying a special link if it doesn't work when logged out?

marta has commented here that she hadn't been informed of any restrictions on interest searches, and will be inquiring. Since she may have to go through several levels of people to get an answer, and many of those people don't work on weekends, the earliest we can expect a reply is Monday. Given the way LJ operates, make that Friday. :/
