Lookit lookit lookit!
Another "I LIVE DON'T LEAVE ME ALOOOOOOOONE" post lol. I have no idea where my will to babble went. Can I blame Holmsian fandom? I've been reading a lot of Holmes/Watson fics. Hm.
In RL, there's a few things happening. I turn another year older soon (awkward; will be less awkward if coworkers manage to forget the date). But I'll get my tax refund about the same time, so yay! (You! Money! Into savings! Okay, maybe some of you goes to bills, but the rest into savings! *cracks whip*) I'm due to upgrade my phone soon, and am considering this hot little number. I may get this baby instead, if I can get over my squirms of spending more on a phone than I do on my monthly car payment.
Work is running surprisingly smoothly, other than a few drama llamas,Turnitin being annoying and the usual intrigue. (eye roll) Seriously, students, if you go a month unable to login and don't tell anyone, do not expect me to be very supportive when you wind up in your Dean's office in tears. When I say, "I'm very sorry, but if you don't call we can't know there's a problem", just know that I am facepalming at you behind my phone. ♥
In fic, I'm selling out to the Blame
valtyr culture. I have signed up for two big bangs. This is all her fault!
For
comicsbigbang I'm doing the Amnesia Tony fic. That one's minimum is only 10k though, and the first check-in is end of February, so it's been shuffled a little. (pets it) After having written a bit of it though, I think I'm going to do it in first person. oO Which... IDK, it bugs me a bit. First person is hard. It's difficult to manage the details, and having an interesting voice is so so so so important, since you're basically staking your fic on your character's internal monologue being catchy. But third person would be doing the fic a disservice I think. :\
For
au_bigbang, I'm falling back on my love of cliché. Always a girl Ults Steve. \o/ This is interesting, in the "fighting the characters back with a spoon" sort of way. Seriously, Gail is stomping her foot dangerously close to my muse's head. She's a persistent sort; I've actually had to not write a scene because I couldn't think of a way to keep her from taking it over. YEEK. Jumbling up the opening/backstory for artistic reasons is going to be pain though. Le sigh.
Finally, to apologize for long silence, I give you all something truly amazing and a pony.

Re: O RLY
Steve!Pony didn't mean to get lost in the storm. But he was also very worried about Tony!Pony, so he will be extra careful in future.
Your photo fic could end in pony porn. Which would basically be a picture of one plastic toy horse mounting another, but it's the thought that counts, right?
Re: O RLY
Steve!Pony seldom means to get Tony!Pony into trouble. Really, it's not his fault Tony!Pony is apt to throw himself in front of the Beastie of the Week for Steve!Pony. Pepper!Pony would yell at Tony!Pony, but experience has taught her that doesn't work.
It is indeed the thought that counts, though I suspect my artistic integrity would never recover. Well, if I had any, that is. It would take some work to bend the pony legs for believable porn, but I'm sure it can be done.
Re: O RLY
Yelling at Steve!Pony won't work, either. It's not like he lets Tony!Pony get into trouble.
...
SO does Tony!Pony build a set of sentient barding that kidnaps him?
Perhaps they're into pony play? It would be very easy to depict.
Re: O RLY
And of course he does. He was just hit by lightning, after all.
Pretend I never said Happily Ever After, it's Tony. The barding he was wearing is already trying to think of a way to get Tony!Pony away from Steve!Pony. It would. Especially with careful angles and props. Ohgods, I'm a horrible person.
Re: O RLY
Tony only ever manages Happily Until Next Time. And even then, it's more like Mostly Okay Until Next Time. The barding glowers at Steve!Pony and polishes itself in the belief that Tony!Pony will be attracted by the shiny. It's not wrong.
You can probably buy saddle and bridle accessories. *googles* Yup, you can.
Re: O RLY
Sometimes it's only Not Quite Dead Until Next Time. :( Tony!Pony is sadly attracted to shiny things. It's a failing. Steve!Pony puts up with it, because Tony!Pony's joy at shiny things is adorable. But when the barding hauls Tony!Pony off to a deserted island to have its way with him, Steve!Pony will have to step in and save the day. I wonder if he can hurl a shield with his teeth.
Of course you can. I would not be shocked if there's ball-gags available too. Maybe a few simple shots, and then a black page with "
TastefulFade to Black". Fresh elmer's glue would probably be pushing even this level of crack, though.Re: O RLY
Pony!Steve can do anything. He will kick the Sentient Barding to tiny pieces.
I think you should warn for glue in a pony fic.
Re: O RLY
And then he'll carry Tony!Pony home and take care of him some more. And Pepper!Pony will yell some more. Because these things just sort of happen.
I think so too, but it's still horribly tempting.
Re: O RLY
Does Tony!Pony get shot in the spine by a crazy mare?
Warn for glue!
Re: O RLY
... poooossibly, but I think being kicked would be more pony-ish. Triggers. Hooves. Trombones. What were the creators of MLP smoking?
Yes, Ma'am! :D (salutes and clicks heels)
