Two years ago today, velithya dragged me kicking and screaming into Steve/Tony fandom. Which is to say, she made a post with a Steve/Tony icon and I immediately started begging for details. This is the longest I've ever been active in a fandom, and I've never really been this active.

In honor of the event, I posted a fic. Many thanks to valtyr, who did a last-second scrub on it.

This fandom is already the longest and most interactive I've been with a fandom. idk how it does this. I think it's like a venus flytrap. It waves shinies in your face and next thing you know you are in its jaws. ♥♥♥

A venus flytrap is a good way to put it. I think that it's because this fandom is kind cozy. There's actually a lot of people, but most of them are lurkers. So once you're active, you get to know all the other active people.

And then you're trapped.

Yes! And now look at us! We have mirror comms and a twitter account, plus Chris Evans shirtless in an upcoming movie and actual writers joking about making them kiss. We're movin' up in the world.

haha, yeah, I'd apologise but I'm not really sorry about that and also I get the feeling that you're not too sorry either!

Hilariously it's not really an active fandom for me anymore either - I mean, I still watch the comm on DW but not on LJ, so all I get is the weekly mod update thing and mostly I don't bother clicking. Ah well.

I think if I'd liked Iron Man 2 better then I probably wouldn't have drifted so far. I'm definitely looking forward to the other Avenger movies (CAP ♥) but I don't know how fannish I can really be about them. It's weird, it's like I only have so much squee to go around, I tend to have one "major" fandom and then a bunch of things I like/enjoy but aren't particularly active in at any one time.

It was kind of like, Iron Man/MarvelU -> Final Fantasy XIII -> Star Driver and at the moment the Star Driver love doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon (Faerii - watch star driver. It is full of amazing OT3-ness that is TOTALLY CANON and i LOVE IT TO LITTLE PIECES. ♥)

But yes, definitely looking forward to the movie/s. mmmmmmm.
