(cries) Coffee! D: I woke up this morning and my aunt had not only (again) let the coffee go cold, but she'd mixed it with yesterday's coffee. DO NOT WANT. Needless to day, it's 1000 and I've only had a single cup so far (thank you work). Coherency. I can no has. I actually took time to write a note and stuck it on the machine, but I ended up throwing it away. It had way too many curse words for something my Grandpa might end up seeing first, and I'm not going to upset him because Mary and I are butting heads. I'll just have to talk to her when I get home. Hopefully when I'm less pissed off. (headdesk) I might just end up buying my own smaller coffee pot to solve this problem.

And now I just realized that I left my main flash drive at home. Good one, self.

I got my costume yesterday! \o/ Now I just need to figure out the shield (a trip to Lowes should solve that) and pick up the rest of the accessories, then Make Adjustments. (rubs hands) That'll be this weekend. I also need to get my grubby mitts on sophie_448 and see if she's up to go out with me. I won't be drinking (Dude, NaNo is not starting with a hangover), but I refuse to stay home and sulk. (Though I do sulk very well, if I say so myself.)

Finally! I am gearing up towards Halloween. (You're not surprised? Gee, and I thought I was being so very subtle.) I have a few ideas for ways to do this, but I need a bit of halp. Does anyone have any ideas how to help me rev up my LJ? I am either 2/4 possibilities short of an entire week of treating. (So far I have an MP3, drabble offers and FIC, with art & graphics as possibilities.) I'm all for tricks, but I can't think of any good ones, so no help there. I'd prefer fandom-neutral or polyfandom ideas, but anything is welcome. Maybe a Mad Lib... Reposting the pet!Tony fic with the extra scenes and slight editing? The bits and extras of my cast-away Halloween crack fic? (Though that would be more of a trick, since that's not going to be finished.)

There's not a tech geek in the world who hasn't dreamed of being a Jedi. You just know that the only reason Iron Man doesn't have a lightsaber is because they're under copyright. And Steve being the one about letting go and giving in to one's baser urges? (fans self)

I think Tony trying to be all strait-laced and Zen while Steve gropes him and mutters dirty things is - mmmmm. Steve needs to spend more time being unutterably filthy and blowing Tony's... mind. What? A good sex life is an important part of a happy relationship. Steve just wants to keep their relationship healthy.

There doesn't need to be a fusion. :p It can be Hallowe'en, they're wearing costumes and playing, which has the added bonus that Steve doesn't need to have committed terrible Sith atrocities. If only someone was offering Hallowe'en drabbles that we might request such a thing!

Tony trying to be straight-laced and zen. Somehow, I can't picture it working very well. It's like meringue in a flood—his will just melts away.

Well, what you need to do is to use the crossover to examine the moral system of the Jedi. I mean, Steve's THING is being passionate about things - that was why he got chosen for the super-soldier thing, originally. And the Jedi are totally down on being passionate about things, which didn't suit Anakin and wouldn't suit Steve. However, Steve is far more sensible, and when he disagrees, he doesn't go around all murderous and evil, he just puts on a more-revealing black costume, adopts a new name, and proceeds to do things Right. After becoming convinced the Jedi are too detached, he is looking to pioneer a new method of Force-using; one shouldn't not care about things (the distance of the Jedi from the concerns of the average person may have made them a great contemplative order, but poor guardians of the Republic) and one should just bust out all over in hate and fear, but one should channel one's passion into benevolent channels.

HOWEVER the Jedi being all set in their ways and stuff, they promptly declare him a total Dark Jedi Sith Bad Guy. And while Steve is tooling around saying vicious rebellious Dark things like 'You know what's good? Concern for others!' and 'You know what's bad? Slavery!' they're sending out people to try and capture him and bring him back for re-education. (As an aside, Yoda has had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking Dagobah.)

And Tony is a newly made knight on his first tour of duty, off to do diplomacy, when SUDDENLY that Dark Jedi turns up on the planet, and Tony uses his technological brilliance to entrap and capture him. And on the journey back, Steve seduces him to the Not Really Dark Side. And they fly off and start a sexy Jedi revolution.

It could be an insightful examination of the Jedi philosophy. An insightful examination, with porn.

And it would be so easy to do everything from Tony's perspective and make it hazy or unclear that Steve's not actual evil, just working by a different ethical code and have everything be a brain-bender about how Dark Is Not Evil and noooooooooz.

Well, quite! Obviously the Jedi Council can't be too clear about what exactly this rogue Jedi Master gets up to, because it sounds so reasonable when you spell it out. You have to be very advanced in the Force to understand why 'We Should Use Our Powers To Help People' is dangerous seditious talk. So they just hint at the terrible powers he commands (and that's true, he's very powerful) and generally suggest that any young Jedi encoutering him should bolt, as he is a menance. Tony, of course, takes no notice of that and ends up with this totally gorgeous, well-dressed and charming captive who wants to share his views on... you know, passion. And stuff. And his views sound fascinating and Tony can't quite see how they're evil, so he thinks about them more and more, trying to work out the flaw in them. And then he decides to set a trap that the Dark Jedi might reveal his true colours; he lets him get in violence-range, expecting him to attack, and then Tony will be all reassured that he was just trying to lull Tony into a false sense of security. (This is a very dangerous plan, of course, but hello, Tony.) However, it turns out that violence-range is also close enough for hands-on demonstration of his exciting philosophy, and that is definitely something Tony is not equipped to deal with.

This fic would also have sexually inexperienced Tony being educated by Steve. Just saying.

OH OH MAYBE the reason Steve holds such different views from the rest of the Temple is that he was a famous Jedi from a long time ago, believed dead but then discovered frozen in carbonite! :D And the Jedi have changed while he has been frozen, and he Does Not Approve.

Sexually inexperienced Tony counts as a kink all by itself.

One of Steve's main weapons is his charisma, which he would use ruthlessly to win Tony over to the Not So Dark Side with tales of How It Used to Be before the Jedi Order stagnated and fragmented into two extremes when it's supposed to encompass the best of both, and how Together they can return the Order to what it was Intended to Be.

Oh yes. I expect Tony's always secretly yearned for the Old Days, when Jedi were Heroes, and Did Things. And here's a Jedi Master right out of the legends, telling him how much better they can make everything, and why doesn't Tony come over here for some further exploration of How Passion Is Actually Pretty Awesome? (Poor Steve. He's been pretty lonely.)

I think I may have utterly failed at the "playing Jedi for Halloween" part of this drabble. >.>;;;

They may have to find a handy place to hide for a few days while Tony investigates all of the angles of this passion thing. For Science the Force. If he's going to Give In, he'd want to do it thoroughly.

Oh, yes, Tony became a Jedi with visions of Epic Battles and Saving a World From Evil, and all he gets is Stand Around and Look Peaceful, with a side order of Stop Having Fun Guys. Steve is the embodiment of everything a Jedi is supposed to be.

Well, even in Tony's awesome ship, hyperspace travel takes time. They've really got nothing to do but chat. And then, somehow, sex. Which makes Tony feel really amazingly connected to the Force. So, uh, further study. He's going to meet this challenge head on. Surely sex is just a transient pleasure interesting for its novelty? Steve assures him that it's not, but he's willing to help Tony test his theory.

Steve laughs. He's fun. People are pleased to see him! He gets invited to parties, and he fights monsters, and hijacks slaver ships and frees all the slaves. And people actually listen to him and nod, rather than looking like they're humouring him until he's gone and they can get back to shooting at each other.

Also, this was all probably an elaborate plan by FuryYoda, who knew Steve from way back because he's so old. :D

Come to the sort-of Dark Side. We have scantily clad Steve using his... charms to seduce inexperienced Tony.

Tony's certain that the emotional effects of sex can be safely contained, making it an excellent way to release physical stress in a healthy and active way. It's like sparring. Steve is Amused, but willing to Humor Him while teaching him in all the Old Ways, and a few Newer Ones.

Oh yeah. He's all, Maybe it's just like sparring and fighting! See, fighting should only be done when necessary, but you can spar as much as you like, and it's good for you. The difference is that people tend to be emotionally engaged in the fighting, and not so much in the sparring. So clearly, if we can have sex without the whole part where my brain melts out of my ears, it will be better. And Steve is all, I like it when your brain melts out of your ears, in fact I can't think of anything better. And Tony is, well, not better like that, but clearly nothing that feels so amazing can be a good thing. And Steve is D: What are they teaching you in the Temple? Maximizing everyone's feeling good is what life is about. And Tony is No, no, that's not - I mean okay it sounds good - but nothing good comes without effort! And Steve is, excuse me, I can assure you I put in effort. That tongue thing? Hours of practise. In fact, I should be honing my skills right now. You practice keeping your brain from melting out of your ears, why don't you.

And then when Tony fails utterly at stopping the brain melt, Steve can show him how it works the other way around and see, this sort of effort can only be for the Betterment of Self. It's an exercise in control and physical ingenuity. Really.

Between that and Yoda speaking in censored symbols, I may have just done horrible things to my childhood. :o
