IDK if you've been following the Meme Which Shall Not Be Named, but lately there were some threads about a podfic thing where they weren't being released simultaneously. Obviously this has accessibility issues, but the point was to encourage people to download the podfic rather than just go to the textfic (which I can understand, since I'm one of those text-before-audio people). Clearly, this is bass ackward because it just makes people angry.
Anywho, this is sort of me trying to figure out if there's a way to do a podfic thing that promotes podficcing as an art of its own, sans accessibility problems and sending people flying off into a rage. (hands) And short of doing something like a group project with voice actors, it seems to be the answer is probably "no". :\ Because you can subtitle, and throw in some art... and I would probably still make grabby hands after the text.
