I really enjoyed this--more or less the highest praise I can think of for any work is that it was incredibly well thought out, with a nice leavening of wacky yet very thoroughly thought out hijinks (vampires! in Phoenix! and Tony making UV bombs to defeat them!! I do not know why this made me so very happy...), and I could literally not stop reading it despite exhaustion and a pressing need to use the toilet and, um, the need to actually do work, which (congratulations) I did not do last night after I started reading it. Stories that are so thorough, and so gripping, and so skillfully presented are rare in any medium, and this is something you should rightfully be very proud of!
I also really enjoyed Steve's mental gymnastics regarding his not-relationship (ha!) with Tony. I think it rings very true to both his character as it stands in-universe, and as an extrapolation of how he would react if he were to be in this situation in-universe. The accidental mutual fidelity was just...sweet isn't the right term, neither Tony nor Steve are sweet, but it's touching in a way that speaks volumes about their true feelings and priorities.
