Wishing for a nap. Or coffee
(yaaaaawn) When I rule the world, I will declare mornings illegal.
I've been spoiling myself so rotten lately. ^^; I stopped by the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Barnes'n'Noble. (Payless as well, but since I needed a pair of cheap but nice brown shoes for work I don't consider that a luxury. This is what happens when your wardrobe expands away from "black slacks + top".) The books were from a gift card, at least? But I also picked up chocolates around Valentines day, so.... Yeah, I'm bad. Also so far away from my semi-diet (watch what I eat and don't worry too much about it, if you can call that a "diet") that it's got an atmospheric haze.
I'm at 76 hours on FFXII and I just finished with Bur-Omisace. Seeing as it's supposedly a 70 hour game... Ooops? Of course, I'm going for the impossible (total completion) and I've developed the habit of never teleporting/flying when I can walk (loot!), so this is just a start. :D
My mom is due to visit the week of the eighth. Yay, Mommy! I haven't seen her in a while; I'm looking forward to showing her my tattoo. I'd like to get another one with her while she's here, but I doubt we will. What we want is pretty complicated. 1) I can't afford it. 2) We haven't had time to design it. 3) I'm positive my dad will want to get "our family tattoo" together first. So I hope, but don't expect! We're also going to see about getting my wardrobe upgraded a bit. I've got things in there that I haven't touched in months and things that are almost worn out but I keep because I need whatever hole they fill in my wardrobe. It's definitely time to clear it out. Luckily, that's also spring break, so we'll have time to do it all. I normally hate shopping because I can't afford it, but yay tax refund. Most of it's for bills, but I think replacing clothes I've had since high school is needed.
Oi, what else? In fandom-terms, I'm working on several stories right now. Well, I say "working on", but what I mean is "prodding now and then with a poky stick".
First on the list is the Christmas thing. It's in beta! Almost done! I swear!
Then comes a series of Roxas-based vignettes that completely ignore BBS suggested timeline.
After that, there's a FFXII thing that I'm waiting to age a bit before deciding what to do with it. I switched my writing to first person perspective mid-way through, then went back and edited the rest. I want to make sure it works before I deciding anything. It's the most likely to remain unfinished, because it's showing a serious leaning towards being a large fic and I don't want to start a longer story at the moment. I've also got my KH Pern fic that I haven't touched in too long (I need to work on that one D:!), the HP-switch one, the kitties, a short from the perspective of some Imperials in FFXII and a shameless KH PWP. There's also a whole slew of other fics. All of these are pretty much in stasis. *sigh* I'm terrible about finishing stories, I really really am, and it bugs me because I hate unfinished stories! GAH. (flail) If anyone wants to hear me ramble endlessly about these (and don't mind fic-spoilers, obviously), feel free to ask. I'm only hoarding details about Major Plot Twists here, and even then I'll probably spill if you're nice.
